A man from Waynesboro has been charged with felony aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence, two counts of misdemeanor, one count of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a summary offense of operating a vehicle without a valid inspection.
Jeremy Mitchel Eyer, aged 32, was charged in relation to an accident in Washington Township which happened at around 3 p.m. on March 3. A woman had pulled over in front of a driveway in a blue Honda in the area of 14600 block of Wayne Highway when her vehicle was hit by a gold Toyota Tundra being driven by Eyer. The woman suffered from a fractured pelvis and once Eyer had been extricated from the Tundra, police found a hypodermic needle on the driver’s side floorboard. He was transported to Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, and he was found to have alprazolam, THC, methadone and morphine in his blood. The police also found heroin in his vehicle.
