Safety of pedestrians and cyclists has been a concern on the Dual Highway with three accidents involving pedestrians in one single month in 2014, two of which were fatal. A study has been completed which shows that with increased lighting and more sidewalks the safety could be improved but at a cost of $1.1 million.
