On Friday afternoon, May 2016, a woman was killed in a motorcycle crash.
According to Maryland State Police the accident happened at around 1 p.m. on Alternate U.S. 40 between Boonsboro and Hagerstown when 34 year old Jessica Simmons of Hagerstown was riding east with another motorcyclist when her motorcycle collided with a westbound Buick sedan near Cool Hollow Road.
Simmons was declared dead at the scene and her body was taken to the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
Patrick Simmons, aged 34, and also of Hagerstown, confirmed his wife’s identity Saturday evening.
Neither the driver of the Buick nor the other motorcyclist was injured.
Jessica is survived by her husband, Patrick S. Simmons; three children, Shayann Fisher, Reese Wilson and Lailah Hutzler; mother-in-law, Cathy D. Simmons; and extended family in Tennessee.
