On Saturday, March 26 a Hagerstown man had a serious motorcycle accident in Pennsylvania.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened shortly before 7 p.m.in the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 near Exit 14 for Wayne Avenue which is along the southeast city line of Chambersburg.
Marshall W. Branch III, aged 31, was operating a 2013 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Ultra and traveling south in the fast lane of I-81 when the motorcycle drifted onto the rumble strips on the left side of the lanes and then lost traction on the soft gravel shoulder. Branch tried to get back into the fast lane but the bike fell onto its side and slid across the road.
Branch was wearing a helmet and was airlifted to York, PA hospital and is thought to have broken one of his legs.
